What holidays are there in British private secondary schools?

There are 3 terms in each academic year in the UK: 1⃣️ Autumn term from September to December 2⃣️ Spring term from January to April 3⃣️ Summer term from April to July

In addition to the eight statutory holidays in England and Wales each year, students have three major holidays, and they can return to their parents for at least three months each year:

☑️ New year's Day ( 1.1 )

❤️Winter vacation, New Year’s vacation😍

☑️Good Friday ( 4.7 )

Religious holiday, the Friday before Easter.

☑️Easter ( 4.10 )

❤️Easter is here, about three weeks away

☑️ Early May Bank holiday ( 5.1 )

British bank holiday, celebrated on the first Monday in May.

☑️ Bank holiday for the coronation of King Charles ( 5.8 )

New this year is the coronation day of King Charles

☑️ Spring Bank holiday ( 5.29 )

British Bank of England holiday, celebrated on the last Monday in May.

❤️It ’s probably summer vacation around this time, but it’s not a public holiday

☑️ Summer Bank  holiday ( 8.28 )

British bank holiday, celebrated on the last Monday in August

☑️Christmas day 12.25

❤️Winter vacation is usually from the week before Christmas to the first week of the next year, about three weeks

👌

In addition to these three major holidays, there is also a half term break of about 5 days in each semester. Some boarding schools have additional holidays every week , Exeat Weekend , from leaving school on Friday to returning to school on Sunday afternoon. Please refer to the school’s official website for specific details.
