University of Sheffield’s January Master’s Preparatory Study Experience

Everyone knows that Wang Wanwan is a British middle school and preparatory student.

Student Z who applied some time ago has successfully entered Sheffield’s January master’s preparatory course in the media direction🎉 . Let’s take a look at what student Z has seen and heard after admission~ 👀

🧑‍🏫 Q: How is the teacher’s teaching quality❓

🧑🏻‍🎓 A: The teaching quality is pretty good, and I think our teachers are quite strict, a bit stricter than I thought🥹 . No one is absent or late in class, and some people in the class don’t speak English well. , occasionally playing with his mobile phone 📱 , and the teacher will keep clicking on him to get him up to answer questions 🙋🏻 . In addition, there are a lot of homework assignments. Basically, he stays in every class. In short, he sets aside some time every day to complete the day. Homework📒

🧑‍🏫 Q: What are you studying now❓

🧑🏻‍🎓 A: I mainly study humanities and social sciences. A lot of classes involve reading 📖 , reading various documents, taking notes, preparing presentations and group assignments 📄

🧑‍🏫 Q: What do you think of the city of Sheffield? Is it convenient for life?

🧑🏻‍🎓 A: Xie Fei is not the type of a bustling metropolis, and there are fewer people on the road. It is more like a small town🏡 , but the good thing is that the prices are not that high⬇️ , and everything you buy is quite cheap. Yes💰 , there is Tesco Premier League and Chinese Super League near where I live, so life is more convenient, and there are quite a lot of Chinese restaurants in the city center here🍛

🧑‍🏫 Q: Did you say when the exam will be held and the proportion❓

🧑🏻‍🎓 A: Yes, I enrolled in January⃣️ , which is divided into two semesters. There will be exams for 4⃣️🈷️ and 8⃣️🈷️ respectively. However, whether I can be promoted to the master's program depends not only on the test scores, but also on the attendance of classes. Part 📖 , exams and classes each have a weight of 50%. I don’t know what other schools are like, but from what I feel now, the people around me are not good at all🏃🏻 . It’s basically impossible to get promoted to a master’s degree just by messing around. There are more than a dozen people in a class, and the teacher teaches everyone You can take care of them all, class is still very important⭕️

🧑‍🏫 Q: Can I change my major after school starts❓

🧑🏻‍🎓 A: Yes❗️You can change majors in the first two weeks. For example, one of our majors transferred from the environment because they have to learn advanced mathematics, but he has no foundation before and is relatively poor in science😟. Transfer to us, after all , we don’t have advanced mathematics classes😎

The above is the experience of student Z’s preparatory course in January. The overall feeling is that it is not good enough and the curriculum is relatively compact. I hope that student Z can successfully advance to the master’s degree after half a year of preparatory course. 🙏Think🈸️🇬🇧Preparatory course , backstage✉️Didi , submit the materials now and get the offer the next day if you hurry~
